Real-Time Object-Oriented Research Group Sponsors

Office of Naval Research &

Navy Research and Development Labs

We are performing research in developing Real-time CORBA and real-time object-oriented databases for ONR and NRaD (San Diego) as part of the ONR/NRaD Distributed Hybrid Database Architecture project.

Naval Undersea Warfare Center

We are supporting the Navy's Next Generation Computing Resources program work at the NUWC which is developing real-time extensions to the POSIX operating system standards and the SQL database standards. We also collaborate with NUWC in specifying real-time features of the Navy's New Attack Submarine.

TriPacific Software

We have worked with TriPacific Software in developing the OMG Realtime CORBA 1.0 Scheduling Service specification, and an implementation of it.  We are also working with TriPacific to develop a response the the OMG's RFP for Dynamic Scheduling in RT CORBA.

National Science Foundation

We have been supported by the NSF to research real-time concurrency control algorithms for object-oriented databases.

MITRE

We collaborate with MITRE in the development of real-time CORBA and its application to AWACS systems. MITRE applies leading edge technology to some of the most important systems in the world, including our nation's military command and control systems and commercial air traffic control systems.
