Send to Back and Send to Front

Observe the following tool buttons:

These tools are located in the draw pop-up menu under the Order sub menu.

These buttons move an object up or down levels in the stack it is in. You can choose to send the object all the way to the front by using the Bring to Front button or all the way to the back by using the Send to Back button. To move an object up one level at a time you must use the Bring Forward button. To move an object down one level at a time you must use the Send Backward button. Having these commands means you don't have to keep track of the order of objects as you draw them. You can draw objects in any order and then move them up or down the stack as necessary.

These tools are used when filling objects. Let's say you have two objects, one on top of the other. If you fill the larger object and it happens to be on top then you will hide the smaller object. To view the smaller object, you select the larger object and then click on the Send Backward button and you will then see both objects.

Now to fix the problem.
Select the filled rectangle and click on theSend Backward button until the rectangle is moved to the bottom of the stack.

It is now time to fill the second band in with the same pattern.
Starting with the outermost circle, select the second circle in and fill it with the same pattern. Repeat this on the other side.
Select the rectangle and fill it with the same pattern.

Your drawing should look similar to the following:

Your drawing is now complete except for the text. To finish the drawing, you must add some explanatory captions with PowerPoint's text tool.
