Intelligent Transportation Systems-Year I

The Design and Development of Information and Computer Systems for URITC

In the first year of this project the group interviewed transportation management experts at RIDOT and in the civil engineering department at URI to determine what the software needs are. We then developed a high level design of a traffic management system that integrates the needs of many types of users. These include traffic specialists, traffic safety professionals, and the traveling public. Every effort was made to develop a design that integrates the various aspects of traffic management.
