Graduate Degrees
URI offers the following Graduate degrees in Digital Forensics:- A Graduate Certificate in Digital Forensics. This is a formal graduate degree, but is focused on digital forensics and requires less course work than a full Master's Degree.

- Expected completion time: one year
- All required courses offered online
- Completion of the Graduate Certificate allows automatic admission to the Master's Program with the four courses transferring, if the student desires.
- A Master's Degree in Computer Science with Digital Forensics Track. This is a full Computer Science Master's Degree that includes the requirements for the Graduate Certificate in Digital Forensics.
- Apply to the URI Graduate Program in Computer Science
- Expected completion time: two years (or one year with a Graduate Certificate)
- Digital Forensics courses are done online; other computer science courses are done at URI, or up to three can be transferred from another institution.
- Completion of the Master's degree allows automatic admission to the PhD Program with up to 30 credits transferring, if the student desires.
- A PhD degree in Computer Science with Digital Forensics Research. This is a Computer Science PhD degree that requires a substantial novel research project.
- Apply to the URI Graduate Program in Computer Science
- Expected completion time: five years (or three years with Master's degree)
- Digital Forensics courses are done online; other computer science courses are done at URI, or up to three can be transferred from another institution. Some research is done at URI, some possibly can be done off campus.
